Undergraduate Graduation

Congratulations! You can graduate each quarter, but must meet each of these criteria to apply:

• Have scheduled or successfully completed your Final Committee Meeting by the deadline below.
• Have registered for and either passed or are in the final stages of completing LL 302 Externship, FA 303 Advanced Project, and LL 390 Summit Seminar.
• Grade point average of 2.0 or above. If you retook an SNL class, apply to recalculate your GPA.

1) If you satisfy these requirements, login to Campus Connect, Select For Students, then Apply for Degree Conferral by the deadline for that quarter.

2) Submit any remaining Independent Learning Pursuits and Transfer Courses to your Academic Committee by deadline.

3) Remember to register in the quarter you are graduating for Externship, Advanced Project, and Summit Seminar.

4) Arrange your Final Committee meeting. After this meeting, your Faculty Mentor will be asked to submit a phrase describing your focus area for the transcript.

5) If you intend to attend the Commencement Ceremony, please review the Student Guide. Commencement is held once a year in June. You may invite an unlimited number of guests. See the latest Commencement Ceremony Webcast. If you intend to march in the ceremony, order a Cap and Gown online by May 1st. (Pick up is May 30, from noon to 6 pm at O'Hare Campus and June 6 and 7, from 10 am to 6 pm at Loop Campus, DePaul Center, concourse). See also additional Commencement Information. You are eligible to participate in the Commencement ceremony once you have successfully held your Final Committee meeting and fulfilled all requirements listed above, including Summit Seminar. Speak directly with your SNL faculty mentor if you have questions.
