Patricia Monaghan is a member of the SNL Resident Faculty. She did her doctoral work on the intersection of quantum theory and poetics. An award-winning fiction writer, she is also a fervent gardener. She grew up in Alaska and leads SNL travel-study courses to study the ecology and native traditions of her home state. She holds dual Irish and American citizenship and recently published “The Red-Haired Girl from the Bog: The Landscape of Irish Myth and Spirit” and “The Encyclopedia of Celtic Myth and Legend.”
