Full-Time Faculty: Mechthild Hart
Mechthild Hart is Professor at the School for New Learning. She moved from Germany to the United States in 1972, has been working in a number of women’s and community organizations, and has been teaching and mentoring at SNL since 1987. Her publications focus on work and education, on the international and sexual divisions of labor, and on the global economy's effect on women and labor migration. She has a M.A. in German literature and a Ph.D. in Adult Education from Indiana University and is a member of the International Sociological Association and the National Women’s Studies Association.
