A member of the DePaul University Board of Trustees, Patricia J. Parson, SNL 1978, was the founder of a privately held, award winning information technology and E-learning company, AmerInd, Inc., headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. AmerInd provided a variety of educational and technological services for numerous government agencies and departments. Ms. Parson sold her company in 2004.
A creative and dynamic entrepreneur and a pragmatic businesswoman, Trisha understands the importance of lifelong learning for personal and professional development. In June 2005, Trisha made a gift of $100,000 to the School for New Learning to help establish the Center for the Advancement of the Education of Adults. Her gift was the largest single gift to the school from an individual.
